2008 Intersynodal Conference

At our recent 2008 Intersynodal Conference, "Congregations Moving in Mission," representatives from our congregations and agencies came together for a time of asset mapping and identifying gifts. Our goals were to:

• Share and celebrate successful outreach efforts
• Develop synergy for joint projects
• Identify unrecognized gifts
• Open ourselves to the opportunities around us at home and abroad

The Conference encouraged and energized us in both head and heart. A list of ideas generated at the Conference is available. Churches and individuals are encouraged to prayerfully consider these and other projects as a means of working together and reaching out into our neighborhoods and the world.

If you would like to speak with someone about any of the projects, Judy Knopf is coordinator for implementation. She will:

• help people make contacts with others regarding the possible projects
• follow up with churches needing more help in developing their plan for implementation
