Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Interprovincial Ministry and Worship Convocation 2005

This memorandum is to alert you and your congregation to the fact that an Interprovincial Ministry and Worship Convocation will be held May 16-19, 2005 at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. In response to many requests this convocation will have a worship focus.

Each congregation will be encouraged to send persons who are involved in worship planning. This might include persons in music leadership, worship team leaders, organists, and directors of music, in addition to pastors and Directors of Christian Education.

The anticipated cost of the event is $495.00 per person. It is anticipated this fee will be inclusive of program costs, room and board.

Mr. Jerry Jones of Lewisville, North Carolina, and a committee from the Southern Province are in charge of the program and will be planning an exciting and varied agenda for our days together. The logistics and site work are being accomplished by the Rev. David Wickmann and a committee from the Northern Province.

What do you need to do now?

First, think about the persons who might be considered for attendance. Contact them in the near future and ask them to reserve these dates on their calendars.

Second, add an appropriate amount to your congregational budget for 2005 to support these persons as they represent your congregation.

Third, pray for the conference and the planning committees in the Southern Province and the Northern Province.
